Corrupt Internal Links…

Having carried out some maintenance here at AddIncomeOnline.com, I was surprised to find, and somewhat frustrated to find, that all of my internal links had become corrupt. What to do?

Panic first…

Firstly I went straight to google in search of someone more experienced than I in the area of “Corrupt Internal Linking” or “Corrupt More Tag” or “More Tag Not Working” or “Flipping More Tag Not Working”…

Quickly degenerating into “Aaagh More Tag” followed by “Stupid More Tag” and “I Hate My Internal Links”.

Think Second…

I then headed over to WordPress.org and trawled the forum, to no avail. Followed by posting to the forum… no response! ;o(

Sleep On It…

Sat down at my desk this morning having had a good night’s sleep, a wee jog along the river, and a refreshing cool shower to begin my day. Laptop out, adjust the height of my chair, breathe in… Doh! Then it comes to me…

Retrace My Steps…

Having uploaded a couple of new plugins the other day (as it happens, right before the internal links stopped working) I thought it prudent to retrace my steps.

Suddenly the birds began to sing, everyone is my friend, and the weight fell from my shoulders; if not my hips…

Deactivate All Plugins…

Links working fine with all plugins deactivated. Activate plugins one by one until the culprit is identified.

Job done. Time for coffee.

Life is good again…
