Just Embedded Affiliate Video to Twitter Video Blog

By Graeme Sutherland On July 21, 20092 Comments

I’ve just embedded my latest video from my YouTube account, which you can find here, to my new Twitter Video Blog, Twitter.GraemeSutherland.TV

Hopefully the blog will turn into a nice hang out for those interested in learning more about Twitter, and how we as marketers can use Twitter as a tool to grow our lists and strengthen our businesses.

The affiliate video, posted below, can also be found at this link, and is really for anyone who’s interested in promoting the site to generate cash income or to grow their email list.

It’s worthwhile checking out the video if you have a twitter account, as using your account to promote twitter resources is relatively easy to do – though you should practice restraint, to avoid coming across as a spam artist :o )

If you’d like to use your twitter account to drive sales, watch the video below and head on over to the affiliate page at my blog:

Your feedback and comments are welcomed as ever!

How to Twitter Video Request for Joint Venture

By Graeme Sutherland On July 15, 2009 No Comments

I’m currently working on a site at Twitter.GraemeSutherland.TV – feel free to swing by the site and check it out… once you’ve finished watching this vid!

I’m loving the power of social media at the moment (I’m thinking of Twitter, FaceBook and YouTube specifically) and I’d love to collaborate on establishing and strengthening my new blog. There’s traffic in it for you, should you be in a position to get involved, and there’s zero workload if you’ve already created the videos I’m looking for. So what am I looking for…

I’m after “How to…” Twitter videos, and hopefully shot in a screen-cast style, where the viewer can look over your shoulder whilst you walk them through the lesson.

So, if you have any videos you think may be appropriate, get in touch with me via the contact page and I’ll highlight the awesome traffic generating benefits for you.

Check out the vid below…

Blogging Benefits of Google Analytics Part 1

By Graeme Sutherland On May 22, 2009 2 Comments

I made this video with the intention of motivating you to get the most out of the Google Analytics service.

It’s not a tutorial on how to install Analytics, but rather a few thoughts on how to get the most out of the figures that the service presents to us.

Don’t use Google Analytics as an ego trip alone… There’s so much more in there to benefit you as a blogger / site owner.

Watch the video below, and it’s always great to receive comments via the comments section below.

Then come find me on Twitter and Facebook :o )

Q: How Important are Inbound Links to Google Rankings? A: You tell Me!

By Graeme Sutherland On May 22, 2009 No Comments

I made this video a couple of days ago, having discovered that I have 170 inbound links to my blog; ie. 170 other websites are currently linking to AddIncomeOnlne.com.

This sparked a conversation with a friend of mine, Rick Curran, along the lines of Search Engine Optimisation etc, and whether or not inbound links vary in quality or effectiveness.

What do you think?

Go ahead and watch the video, then feel free to respond via comment below or find me on Twitter and Facebook.

It’s always great to hear back from blog readers… introduce yourself today :o )

Flip Mino HD Camera Arrived Today from Amazon

By Graeme Sutherland On May 18, 2009 No Comments

It’s always nice to receive the big brown box from Amazon, but today it contained more than the usual books…

My new Flip Mino HD Camera arrived today, in the big brown box from Amazon.

I shot a quick few minutes of the “unveiling” of the new cam – ie. I opened the box in front of my Macbook iSight cam.

If you’re at all interested, you can watch the video to see how the camera ships and find out what else arrives in the distinctly “Steve Jobs-esque” packaging.

Do you have a Flip Cam? Are you happy with the results? Have you tried the “Action Mount” for your handlebars or cycle helmet? – I imagine you haven’t :o )

Leave a comment on the post below then come find me at http://twitter.com/graemesuth

How and Why to Build an Internet Marketing Email List

By Graeme Sutherland On May 15, 2009 No Comments

This video is a brief rundown of one of the foundational principles of how to go about making money online.

It’s a principle at work on my blog, and basically consists of GIVING a product, or report etc, away for FREE. In exchange, we collect the email address of the person requesting the free gift.

Watch the video to gain a little understanding of how to go about earning income from this FREE gift principle.

You may then have a quick scout around the blog for the term “FREE” to explore how the principle is implemented here on my blog. And remember, we can’t just give away any old rubbish, so the free content here is of a high standard – in other words, the FREE gift must represent true value.

As I type, the main push we have here currently is to offer this gift for FREE.

Go ahead and leave a comment on the post when you’re done watching. You may also like to catch up with me on Twitter and Facebook.

Links mentioned in the video:

http://addincomeonline.com/aweber – have a quick look at Aweber’s email list building and management service; you CANNOT build your internet marketing business without securing some form of list building and management system. This is my recommendation :o )

WordPress Permalink Problem When Blog Posting from YouTube

By Graeme Sutherland On May 15, 2009 1 Comment

I’ve been posting my Video Blog vids from YouTube now for a few days, but recognised a problem with the permalinks today – not great news as this can have a negative impact on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) or how well search engines rank my site.

A permalink is basically the information which appears on the address bar, beginning with your domain name. Often, the permalink is set to read nothing more than some random numbers. However, you may want to think about changing the settings so that the post “title” also appears in the permalink, making things easier for search engines to rank.

After you’ve watched todays video, feel free to shoot me a message if you need help adjusting your permalink settings in WordPress – or anything else for that matter!

Until tomorrow…

Can you believe that? – Day 2 of my new DAILY video blog and I go to bed having forgotten all about it… Where’s the commitment?

So I pulled myself out of bed and made my way all the way over to the office (it’s roughly 20ft away from my bed) and recorded this video.

10 minutes later and there you have it – video blog, day number 2 :o )

I’m excited to start posting video responses to your comments and questions, so feel free to comment on this post. Makes my day ‘big style’ when I receive comments on the blog…

Internet Marketing Video Blog Numero Uno

By Graeme Sutherland On May 12, 2009 2 Comments

Okay, so the video below is the first of my vids from my new channel at YouTube.

My new channel is titled “TheGraemeSutherland”, because presumably “the other” Graeme Sutherland was quicker off the mark than me :o )

I want to try and do a daily video blog, based all around my internet marketing business, for a couple of reasons…

I think it’ll help me focus on the tasks I want to accomplish in my business; verbalising the things I’m learning about will hopefully help me to put some of these things into practice.

I’m also hoping to use the V-log to connect with other marketers online. Maybe you have a channel already? – then shoot me a message via the contact page or, even better, just go ahead and comment on the blog post here at the site or on YouTube itself.

And lastly, it’s good to be a resource. Video is one of the most effective methods of communication these days, and it’s about time I harnessed a little more in exploring more of the benefits of social media.

Here’s video number… Uno.

Monetizing Blogs to Make Money Online with Gary Vaynerchuk

By Graeme Sutherland On April 9, 2009 No Comments

I had a fantastic day out with my wife today in Glasgow, Scotland. Home now and chilling out – which pretty much means I’m surfing the web and checking out what other marketers are up to.

My inbox is full of emails from the big “Gurus” promoting Ryan Deiss’ new product – Continuity Blueprint.

From there, I’ve gone looking for some more of Ryan’s products and come across his excellent blog – DrivingTraffic.com

I came across the video below, of Gary Vaynerchuk, whilst scanning through some of Ryan’s posts. Go check out Ryan’s blog once you’ve watched the video. Then…

GO TAKE ACTION :o )

Difference between Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org?

By Graeme Sutherland On April 4, 2009 1 Comment

WordPress .com & .org

WordPress, as a blogging platform, has an exceptionally strong presence online. It’s not the only blogging platform, but it’s one of the most commonly used and embraced by bloggers worldwide; both professionals and hobbyists alike. It’s due, in no small part, to the active WordPress community who work on free add-on modules, or ‘Plugins’.

Other blogging options include the likes of the free Blogger.com by google, and the subscription based TypePad.com, by “Six Apart”. But, we’re focussing on WordPress for now…

It’s important to recognise that there’s a very key distinction we need to make between the two different approaches to using the WordPress platform.
